Jenny James started performing at age 5, singing, playing guitar and piano and entered numerous singing competitions through out the years. She has always had a passion and an acute ear for music. Her natural talent was further developed in 2003 when she joined a band; she was a Grand Finalist of Voice of Davao in 2004.
Jenny James has been the lead vocalist in many bands while still performing her solo venues. Jenny James has performed at various 5 star hotels and casinos both locally and abroad. It was in mid 2007 that she began to focus on her solo career exclusively.
She has a diverse range, and is able to perform a variety of music such as Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carrey, Alicia Keys, Shakira, Celine Dion, Beyonce, and is able to perform Latin, R&B, Hip Hop, Jazz, Rock and Alternative songs as well.
In 2008 Jenny James came to Canada and has worked with a lot of people in the industry doing corporate jingles, charity work such as Canadian Cancer Society Relay for Life, Boy and Girls Club, Sunnybrooke Hospital, YMCA, New Commerce, The Kiwanis Club, Canadian Red Cross, various community school programs and many more while working on her original songs. She has appeared on Rogers Cable TV, The Omni Channel and has been featured in Toronto Sun newspaper, Philippine Courier, Mississauga Times and many more. Other performances includes Yonge Dundas Square, Canadian National Exhibition, Scarborough Town Jazz Festival, University of Toronto X 2, CUPE Union 79, MPP Office Officials Events.
In 2009 Jenny became the front lead singer/keyboards for Toronto's Top 40 Cover Band Jen and the Men.
In 2010 Jenny met the Juno Award Winner/Grammy Nominated/ Eddie Bullen. http://www.eddiebullen.com/ She was involved in the album "Urban Launching Pad" released in summer of 2011. She then started recording her own songs and came up with 11 tracks and made it to an album. In Sept 2011 she launched her album online "Aspiring 2 B Me" and made an impression in UK's Soul Walking, UK Jazz Fm, Toronto's Wave Fm and G98.7 with her song Love 101. "After finishing a gig late at night, i turned on the radio and Love 101 was playing, i thought it was my cd but it was actually the radio,i was overwhelmed!"
Following with Love 101's success, Jenny also launched a music video for "The Best Thing", a catchy intro line with melodic hooks and is also receiving great reviews. Recently Jenny's songs has been added to PinoyRadio.com
